Biography – Faye Smith

I’m a Keystone State girl, born near the shores of Lake Erie, where the smell of harvested Concord grapes fills the air every September, and the buzz of a snowblower can be heard by simply walking outside on any given January day.  I grew up in a community that annually crowns a Grape Queen.  (And I admittedly wanted to be Grape Queen!)

Mike and I have led worship together for the entirety of our marriage, some 20+ years ago, in churches such as Hope Chapel (Austin, Tx), Sojourn Church (Carrollton, Tx), and where we attend now, Lighthouse Christian Fellowship (Prosper, Tx), as well as other venues.  With Mike on electric guitar, we mix current worship music with some of my original worship songs.

My faith is in Jesus Christ, and my heart is with the local church – where I feel called to do music ministry.  It’s face to face: where the rubber meets the road, where iron sharpens iron, where deep calls to deep.
